DMIT - Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology

 

This program focuses on the innumerable technical procedures for diagnosing various disease processes. This course is designed to meet the new requirements of the health sector, wherein the students are educated and trained in the technical aspects of the procedures, with a special emphasis on the anatomy and pathophysiology of the disease process.

 

To make the students to learn the basic anatomy of the body, so that they can interpret the parts on the radiograph.

To teach the basic physiology of the body & how pathology will alter it leading to a disease process.

To train the students in conventional radiography as well as in modern imaging techniques.

To educate students about a few alternate procedures which are not routinely performed.

 

Course Details for Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology

 

Eligibility:

 

10+2 or equivalents to science


OR


2 years vocational course in Radiography / Radio diagnosis after 10th
standard from a recognized University/Institution/Board.

Duration:

2 years (4 semesters)

Fees:

Rs.15000/- per semester

The fee is inclusive of –


Examination fees\Books & Lectures.

 

Lateral Entry

Eligibility:

One Year Diploma\Certificate in Radio Diagnosis technology from a recognized
institution after 10+2. In this scheme students have to appear and pass the
first semester exam. Study material will be issued by the Learning Center.

Fees:

In addition to normal fees, an additional lateral entry fee of Rs.3700/- (including examination fee)is payable by students.
